Digital Citizen: The Problem Is Scale

Since I got my uncapped 4 megabit ADSL, I'm constantly listening to internet radio via shoutcast, last.fm or any of the other services available. Personally I won't be downloading or buying any music again as long as I have live internet radio where there are millions of mixes I haven't heard before.
The supply of music is flooding the market, the demand is not growing nearly as fast as the supply and since more and more people are streaming their music, the demand might even be shrinking, so I'll agree with you on the point that the music industry is living in an era where they either need to find a different monetization model or collapse like a lot of the other industries are doing.
